Could You Get More if You Have Help?

If you’ve been struggling to get the support you need after an injury on the job—struggling with your employer, the insurance company, doctors and the legwork—there’s another place you can turn to be treated, finally, like a human being:

The Workers’ Compensation, LLC, law firm.

Our workers’ comp lawyers know what these benefits mean to you. Workers’ comp can put you back on solid financial ground and help you maintain the lifestyle you worked hard to build up until you got hurt.

But, sometimes, employers and insurance companies don’t want you to know all the benefits and reimbursements you’re entitled to receive.

They’ll try to give you less than they should. They’ll try to cut off your benefits early. They’ll try to deny your benefits altogether.

We don’t work for insurance companies trying to save themselves money. We’re lawyers dedicated to helping individual Louisiana workers when they’re injured on the job.

In Metairie, New Orleans, Hammond, the Northshore, Baton Rouge, Houma, Lafayette, Alexandria, Shreveport, Monroe—anywhere in Louisiana—after you’re hurt at work, talk to us.

Our workers’ comp lawyers have over 130 years of combined experience. We’ve helped over 10,000 people.

What Can I Get from Louisiana Workers’ Comp?

The benefits you get from Louisiana workers’ comp can be life changing.

These benefits can make the difference between personal financial crisis and long-term stability.

The system was established by the Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Act to provide fast help to injured workers.

This is what workers’ comp benefits pay:

    • Lost Wages: When you can’t work, benefits include weekly checks covering a portion of the income you’re missing.
    • Medical Care: All medical treatment related to your workplace injury or illness is covered.
    • Reimbursement: You can receive reimbursement for some expenses caused by your injury, such as travel to doctor appointments.
    • Payment for Reduced Earnings: If your injury means you can’t earn as much even after you go back to work, you can receive a supplement to your pay.
    • Job Placement Support: A program called vocational rehabilitation is supposed to help you return to work. Proceed with caution because insurance companies use this to shorten your benefits.

The Louisiana workers’ comp lawyers at Workers’ Compensation, LLC, understand everything you’re supposed to get—and enforce that for you.

It’s all too common for workers’ comp providers to reject some benefits, send payments too late, cut off benefits prematurely, or even fail to tell you about all the benefits you’re qualified to receive.

“Don’t Try to Play the Workers’ Compensation Game Alone”

Daren Sarphie: Hi, I’m Daren Sarphie. I’m an attorney with Workers’ Compensation, LLC. Our firm has over 20 years of combined experience representing the injured employees of Louisiana in workers’ compensation and longshore benefits. Workers’ compensation is often referred to as the great compromise. You, the injured worker, have given up your right to sue your employer in civil court for damages like pain and suffering and loss in future wages. In exchange for that, your employer and its insurance carrier have agreed to basically pay you for everyday that you’re not able to work because you’ve been hurt on the job, and to pay for reasonable and necessary medical treatment associated with your injuries.

There’s no way to sue your employer in civil court in Louisiana, unless your employer has intentionally tried to cause you harm. Otherwise, your rights against your employer are limited to the Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Act. Don’t try to play the workers’ compensation game alone. If you’ve been hurt at work, call Workers’ Compensation, LLC, at 877-266-7626. That’s 877-COMPMAN.

    Workers’ Comp Law Is Different

When you file for workers’ compensation, it doesn’t matter whether anyone was at fault in your injury. It’s about whether it happened at work, and that’s it. It doesn’t mean you have to sue your employer. A special kind of lawyer can help you claim your maximum benefits. It’s not like a personal injury case after a car accident. You are entitled to these benefits.
