Kelly was born and raised in Arizona. She earned her B.A. in Journalism from the University of Washington in Seattle with an emphasis in Political Science and French. While in college, Kelly maintained her status on the Dean’s List, reported for local newspapers, held a public relations internship, studied abroad in Paris, and was an active member of the Alpha Phi sorority.
After college, Kelly attended the University of San Diego School of Law, where she earned her J.D., participated in Moot Court, and studied civil liberties and international art law through a study abroad program in Florence, Italy.
Following law school, Kelly spent over a decade in the fields of marketing and public relations, working with both start-up companies and large corporate entities. Kelly recently spent five years with Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. as part of the marketing department’s Quality Control team, where she worked directly with in-house counsel and developed a keen understanding of the importance of attention to detail.
Kelly’s family moved to New Orleans, where she studied for and passed the Louisiana Bar Exam in 2018. The following year, she gained invaluable experience as a judicial extern to the Honorable Jay C. Zainey of the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana, observing countless civil and criminal proceedings involving people from all walks of life. This opportunity ultimately fueled her interest in advocating on behalf of hard-working people who need guidance navigating a complex legal system, leading Kelly to join the firm in November of 2019.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys running, honing her culinary skills, and getting to know New Orleans, one festival at a time.
